Cedarhurst

The Village of Cedarhurst was incorporated in September of 1910, around the same time the Village Hall opened and a post office. The village was named after the groupings of trees surrounding the post office, its early name was Ocean Point. Cedarhurst is part of the "Five Towns" within the Town of Hempstead.
