Queens Village
Queens Village is a residential neighborhood in the borough of Queens in New York City. It was founded as Little Plains in the 1640s. By the mid-1800s the area was known as Brushville and after a resident vote in 1856 to change the name to Queens. It wasn�t until a 1901 article in the Brooklyn Eagle when the name officially changed to Queens Village. Like many of the neighborhoods in eastern Queens, Queens Village boasts a collection of Dutch Colonial and Tudor homes.
